For my girls struggling with anxiety- this one’s for you. Most everyone feels a little anxious occasionally but many people suffer from some type of anxiety disorder.
Anxiety is a medical condition that can weaken your body and leave you vulnerable to all kinds of health problems. Left untreated it can also increase the risks of having panic attacks and/or compulsive behavior.
Anxiety is also often accompanied by depression. Depression may cause you to have poor sleeping habits, lose interest and pleasure in activities that you love, experience weight changes, and disengage from the outside world.

4 Methods of Treating Stress and Anxiety with Essential Oils
While essential oils may be used in a variety of ways, there are 4 common methods of delivery. These are room diffusion, inhalation, massage, and as a bath additive.
To calm the chatter in your head and uplift your spirit, add a few drops of relaxing lavender, meditative frankincense, or your preferred essential oil to a room diffuser for use throughout the day.
Another method to treating anxiety and depression is by inhalation. The best way to perform the inhalation technique is to place a few drops of a gentle, non-irritating, and diluted essential oil, such as orange, rose, or vetiver, in the palms of your hands. Rub your hands together to warm and release the properties of the oil. Next, cup your hands over your nose and take five deep, slow breaths to help quiet feelings of anxiety or stress.
Add 10 to 12 drops of your preferred essential oil or oil blend to 2 ounces of carrier oil (grapeseed, jojoba, sweet almond, etc.) for use during a luxurious and restorative body massage.
Add five to 10 drops of your preferred essential oil to your bath water to combat feelings of anxiety or stress. Pro tip: Don’t add essential oils to running water as they will evaporate at a higher rate. Instead, add them once the tub is filled and just before getting in.
