Programs and Special Events

Discovery Camps

The Children’s Museum offers Discovery Camps at various times throughout the year. These camps are a wonderful way to have some hands on fun while learning! Each camp is taught by a Highlands County teacher and is open to children that have finished kindergarten through the fifth grade.

Tot Time

The Children’s Museum has weekly program for preschool age children and their caregivers! ToT Time begins at 10:00 each Tuesday morning and is free with the price of admission to the museum.

The class is held in the camp classroom and parents are asked to stay with their children to help during the learning experience. This program runs while school is in session. For more information – call the museum at (863) 385-5437.

What Parents are Saying about the Museum

“Good place for young children. You can keep them occupied for hours. Fun & educational. Reasonably priced.”

“Clean, newly updated place with many hands on activities for the kids. A fun way to spend a summer afternoon.”

“My grand children are 25, 23, 15 and 15. Over the years this Museum created many moments to interact with my grandkids. What a marvelous setting in a small community to be able to so engage with them. Whether they were five or fifteen this was a great venue.”
